What was coming next?
That was what I was thinking when I saw Casey in the distance, I thought he came to find me and to admit he was wrong, but I didn’t want to talk to him, so I turned around and started walking away from him.
I didn’t realize it was a sign of admission of guilt in his eyes.
And next thing I knew I was pushed to the ground, I scream in pain and he let me break free and turned around, I could see Sage was taking control of his body.
“What the hell?! What was that for?” I yelled at him.
“Did you drugged Lori?” He asked with bloodshot eyes, he was furious.
At me?
“Of course, I didn’t! I have been here all along, besides, why would I do that?”
“Because you were jealous! You are jealous that I found my fated mate! And you want her gone! I wouldn’t do anything with her! She just needed a place to stay, why would you do that?”
“I said I didn’t do it!”
“Then who did?! Who has the motive and could get in and out of our
house?!”

“Who could testify your alibi?” His nostril flared, I had seen him like this before, but never to me.
“You have known me for so many years, do you think that I would do something like this?” I asked in disbelief, I thought he was here for me, instead, he was here because he thought I hurt his fated mate!
“I thought I knew you before, but now I’m not so sure. She didn’t do anything, I let her stay here, if you hate it so much, you could have just said something instead of poisoning her!”
“How many times do I have to tell you that I didn’t do it? And I thought I voiced my opinion pretty loud if you remember. You just didn’t care.” I pushed him off and stood up.
“So you did this to get my attention? She could have died! Is this what you want?”
At this point I know there was no point in arguing with him, he was adamant that I did it, he wouldn’t believe me no matter what I said, and I was already on the verge of tears. I didn’t want him to see me in my vulnerable state, so I spun around and tried to leave.
“Where do you think you are going?” He grabbed my shoulder and threw me on the ground. I was shocked, this was the first time he did something like this to me. We had fights before, but never, had he ever raised his hands.
Now he would use violence for her, and he refused to believe me. God, how did we end up like this?
“I told you I didn’t do it! Why won’t you listen? I have no reason to! I knew I lost you the moment you brought her home! Why should I even try to get you back when the first person you doubt is me?”

I knew my words. struck a nerve when his face became blank. But he quickly composed himself, he reached out his hand and tried to help me get up, but I didn’t want to touch him, I swatted his hand off and get up by myself. He looked awkward for a moment but then he became angry again.
“Don’t do this again.” He said to me and left.
He would wrong me and push me now for Lori, who knew what he would do next? What should I do now?
I thought as I slowly walk back home. I considered not going home since I didn’t want to see Casey, but I had nowhere to go, I didn’t have any friends that I could stay with, I literally have nowhere to go.
Luckily when I got home, both Casey and Lori were gone. Where did they go? The maid greeted me with an awkward smile, I could tell that she thought I did it too. But how? I was out all day, I didn’t even come home until now. Why would they all suspect me?
I took a quick shower and tried to get some sleep since tomorrow was another big day ahead.
But I tossed and turned, I just couldn’t fall asleep, thinking back to what happened today, and yesterday, Lori just completely turned my life around like that. I knew from now on my life was never going to be the same again.
I didn’t get any sleep as I dreaded what would happen next.
When morning came, normally someone would ask me to join the pack for dinner, but it was already 9 AM and no one showed up. I freshened up when I looked at myself in the mirror, I could see a dark circle formed under my eyes, I didn’t get much sleep for the past few days, not to mention the stress that weighed heavy on my mind, I looked terrible. I had the urge to use some make–up to conceal my tired look, but as I took a look at the time, I didn’t think I have time for it. So I just went straight to

When I got to the Pack House, I went to the dining room, and I realized everyone was there, except me. And there was even someone who wasn’t supposed to be there, Lori, and she was sitting at my Luna scat!
“What is she doing here? Why is she sitting on my seat?” I asked Casey because I knew it was his doing. I could feel my rage burn through my
chest.
“Lower your voice. Lori was sick last night, so I brought her here.” He didn’t even care to spare me a glance, was this really the man I married?
“Why is she sitting on my Luna seat?” I said angrily, pointing at Lori.
“Don’t get her involved, I told her to sit here, it was just a seat, why do you make such a big deal about it?” He said nonchalantly while defending her, which made me even more enraged.
“You knew damn well that it isn’t just a seat, it is my seat, my Luna seat, and now you are letting her sit on it, what’s next? Do you plan on making her Luna as well?” My fist balled up, and I lost my temper in front of everyone, it was a first, but this was also the first time I felt my position as Luna was threatened. His attitude didn’t help either, the way he was
reacting to my anger, was infuriating.
“Enough! You said it’s your Luna seat, you are not behaving like a Luna exactly, and if Lori didn’t get sick last night, there was no need for her to be here then.” He finished by giving me a pointy look, I knew what he meant, he still thought that I poisoned her.
Was this his way to punish me?
I wanted to tell him that I didn’t do it, but too many people were present, and he was right, I shouldn’t make a scene like the Luna. I didn’t stay for breakfast either. I didn’t have the stomach for anything anymore.

I went back to my house, usually, there would be some maids, and I wanted to ask them to make me something to eat, but all my maids were gone. What happened?
I was feeling confused, where was everybody?
Just then a maid came in and she was looking for something. I stopped
her.
“What are you doing? Where is everybody?” I asked.
“Luna Zora, Alpha Casey asked me to take something to the Pack House.” She took a look at me and then quickly lower her head, I could tell she wanted to say something but chose not to.
“What are you taking?”
“Alpha Casey said I could take some of the dresses you didn’t need…”
“Why?”
“Because Miss Kuhn needs them…”

“Oh, okay… But Luna Zora… Alpha Casey said you wouldn’t be attending tonight. He said he would Miss Kuhn instead.”

Tonight was supposed to be the Harvest Moon Ball to celebrate what we had gained this year. I had been preparing this Ball as the Luna of the Pack for so long, how could I not go?
Unless… He wanted to announce Lori at the Ball. And he didn’t want me to witness it in case I got mad?

Why did he have to do this? Throwing away our 5 years of marriage, bringing a completely strange woman home, and letting her walk all over me? Why?
