Chapter 19 Is It Brenda?
Brenda noticed the peculiar gaze from the second floor. She looked up and didn’t see Lemuel.
Without paying much attention, Brenda looked back at the man in front of her.
The man looked down at her, sneering and mocking.
“You want to challenge me? Are you even grown up?”
Alde laughed, and the foreigners in the audience joined in, mocking and jeering, some using a foreign language, some using an awkward local language.
“Alde, kill this bitch!”
“This is their most powerful expert. What a weakling!”
Alde continued, “You’re pretty. I like that. If you agree to lose and sleep with me, I’ll go easy on you and won’t kill you!”
Brenda frowned, feeling angry.
She glanced at the referee. “Can we start?”
Her voice was deep, aided by a voice modulator she was using.
The referee nodded, blew the whistle, and the arena
immediately fell silent.
Alde looked at Brenda with lecherous eyes, provocatively tilting his neck, making bone joints produce ceric cracking sounds. He then stomped his foot hard, causing the stage to tremble slightly.
The audience held their breath, afraid to make a sound, their hearts racing in fear.
Brenda rolled her eyes, took a quick step forward, and then returned to her original position.
Alde stood still, his eyes wide open, motionless.
People were puzzled, not yet understanding what had happened. Suddenly, with a loud thud sound, Alde fell backward onto the arena floor!
The crowd was greatly shocked.
The referee, summoning courage, approached Alde, shouting and lightly tapping him a few times. Alde didn’t respond.
He reached out to check Alde’s breath. “He’s alive! Knocked
out!”
The referee immediately declared, “This round, Rage Rabbit
wins!”
The arena was quiet for a few seconds, then people stood up, and cheers and shouts of jubilation filled the boxing arena.
Lemuel was also shocked. Her skill… It was indeed strange. Alde had no visible injuries, but those who understood could tell that Alde’s skills were completely disabled!
Alde was utterly defeated!
Rage Rabbit was truly remarkable!
“Call him up. I’ll treat him to a meal!” Lemuel’s mood was quite good.
Norris snapped out of his astonishment and quickly nodded. “Yes, of course.”
Downstairs, upon hearing that an influential person wanted to invite her for a meal, Brenda declined and left directly.
Lemuel frowned slightly, but he wasn’t angry. He always admired capable individuals.
He wanted to meet this Rage Rabbit. What a pity…
Lemuel stood on the second floor, watching the departing Rage Rabbit. Suddenly, a thought struck him. It was Brenda!
No matter how he looked at this person, he resembled Brenda!
Lemuel’s brow furrowed.
He suddenly thought of something and hurriedly pulled out his phone to call Brenda.
“Where are you?”
Brenda had just left the boxing arena and was buying coffee. “What’s up?”
Lemuel asked again, “Where are you right now?”
“Is it any of your business?! I’m hanging up if there’s nothing important!”
Lemuel asked directly, “Did you go to the boxing arena just
now?”
Brenda’s heart skipped a beat!
She was about to ask how he knew, then she thought of Merlin and immediately shut her mouth.
Merlin didn’t explicitly forbid boxing.
After all, boxing was an activity anyone could participate in. Even if she became invincible, people might just admire her skill and wouldn’t discover her secret or pose much danger.
However, Merlin had never supported it and had even opposed
- it.
Over the years, Merlin warned her to keep her abilities hidden unless she had to use them!
Brenda understood Merlin’s concerns. He feared that it could
attract trouble if she stood out too much.
Today, she had gone boxing without telling Merlin. If Lemuel found out and complained to Merlin, he would definitely be
angry.
What if Merlin got angry and broke off the deal?
Thinking about the conditions she had set with Merlin when agreeing to marry Lemuel, Brenda panicked.
Merlin didn’t really want… Merlin wouldn’t have agreed to her terms if it weren’t for getting her to marry Lemuel.
If Merlin really broke off the deal, what was the point of her compromising and marrying Lemuel?
No, this couldn’t happen. To be safe, she couldn’t let Lemuel
know.
“Brenda! Did you hear what I asked?” Lemuel asked again.
Brenda quickly lied.
“What boxing arena? I’ve never been there. Don’t bother me.”
Brenda hung up after saying that and headed home with her
coffee.
