Billionaire President’s Contract Wife Chapter 4

Billionaire President’s Contract Wife Chapter 4
Chapter 4 Kiss Him
The butler, Frederick Johnson, was already waiting for Bradley in the study when he returned to the Royal Garden Mansion.
“Here is some information about Freya Lawson, Mr. Austin. Please take a look,” Frederick said as he handed over the file.
Bradley took the file and began reading.
He read rapidly, skimming the pages with ease all the way to the end.
Frederick provided a brief explanation, “When Freya Lawson was twelve, her mother sent her back to the countryside, and she hasn’t been back to the city since. She suffered brain damage as a result of a high fever when she was twelve, and she can now only think at the level of a five or six-year-old.”
“Does that mean she’s a real fool?” Bradley raised an eyebrow and tapped the table, a smirk forming on his lips. “When do you think we should bring her here?”
“The fortune teller says that tomorrow is a good day to bring her here.”
“Alright. Maybe you can personally go and pick her up.”
What Bradley said shook Frederick to his core. He had expected Bradley to be angry upon learning that she was mentally disabled, instead of acting calm.
“Mr. Austin, what is the best way to deal with her when she arrives?” Frederick was well-versed in Bradley’s methods of dealing due to his long service by his side.
The three women who had previously been sent here were secretly executed as soon as they arrived, so Frederick naturally assumed Bradley would treat this “fool” in the same way.
Bradley’s response, on the other hand, caught him off guard.
“Prepare her some clothes. We must treat her well when she arrives!”
Frederick opened his mouth to say something, but Bradley soon left the study.
In the early morning the next day, Sophie woke up early to help Freya with her makeup.
Freya had a stunning face and fair skin. She was more beautiful than Lola, who wore a lot of thick makeup.
As a result, Lola was envious of Freya and had been bullying her since they were children.
When Freya put on makeup, she looked far more beautiful than Lola.
She resembled a fairy with her small, doll-like face, lustrous eyes, and cherry-red lips.
If it hadn’t been for the benefits Lola could gain from Freya’s marriage, she would have eagerly disfigured her face.
“Freya, please don’t leave me and your dad out of your life just because you’re getting married. This is your home, and you are welcome to return at any time,” Sophie said, but she wasn’t sincere in her words.
Bruce pointed out to Sophie that there were two options for Freya if she married into the Austin family: either death or becoming a living ATM machine.
If she died, they would receive a hefty compensation. If she could make it alive, they would treat her as a cash machine to extract various benefits.
Sophie, being astute, naturally considered both options. She believed Freya’s death would be in their best interests, as she would have to cajole Freya and rely on her for financial support if she survived.
“Yeah, don’t forget that this is your home. Don’t just think about the immediate benefits in the future. If you gain anything from him, you should share it with the rest of us.” Lola glared at her stepsister sidelong, her arms crossed and her face contemptuous.
Freya nodded in agreement as she pretended to be obedient, saying, “I understand.”
“The Austins have arrived!”
Bruce’s voice came from outside at that precise moment.
“The bride needs to come down immediately,” Sophie yelled at the door, then draped a veil over Freya’s head and dragged her downstairs.
Bradley suggested that because of his disability, the wedding was unnecessary. Following that, Freya was welcomed into the Royal Garden Mansion, the opulent estate built specifically for Bradley by his father.
“Mrs. Austin, please wait a moment in the room. Mr. Austin will be there shortly,” Frederick said.
Frederick escorted her to the master bedroom before departing and closing the door behind him, as directed by Bradley.
Freya carefully lifted her veil and looked around her with wide, curious eyes.
The entire room was decorated in a European style, with luxurious and expensive furniture adorning every corner. The crystal chandelier above cast a dazzling light, and the bed had invitingly plush sheets. To add a touch of romance and cuteness, doll versions of the bride and groom were displayed on the nightstand.
Freya casually picked up the bride doll and slipped a cellphone inside after thinking for a while.
She yearned for an escape from that wretched place ever since she was sent to the countryside at the age of twelve and subjected to mistreatment by her foster family. She finally had the opportunity to leave that home and do whatever she wanted thanks to the opportunity of marriage.
Her first order of business was to find out the truth about her mother’s death and hold the Lawson family accountable for their actions.
Her mother had been through so much as a result of Sophie and Bruce that she couldn’t let them off the hook so easily.
Then there was Lola, who had been picking on her ever since they were kids. Freya planned to get everything back that Lola had stolen from her mother.
At that moment, the door to the room was softly pushed open, and Bradley entered wearing a disguise.
Freya keenly sensed there was someone standing behind her. She abruptly turned around and was surprised to see a burned face.
She’d heard that Bradley had been burned and disfigured in a fire, leaving him blind and with limited mobility. Meeting him in person confirmed the accuracy of the rumors.
What kind of man he was didn’t matter to her. She’d discovered through her research that he had limited mobility, so she didn’t have to worry about him acting inappropriately toward her.
At the very least, once she finished her plan, she would find a way to divorce him.
Her wrist was suddenly being grabbed as she was contemplating this. Freya then leaned forward involuntarily as he gently pulled her.
She gasped in shock and the next thing she knew she was sitting on Bradley’s lap.
Bradley lowered his gaze to her. Even though he had seen her face the night before, he found Freya looked even more beautiful after she had carefully dressed herself.
She was dressed in an all-white wedding gown. Her skin was as smooth as porcelain, and the extra darkness from her drawn-out lashes beautifully framed her eyes.
Her pair of panicked eyes were misty, and with her puffed-up red lips, she exuded both allure and innocence, reminding him of their passionate kiss from the night before. Unable to resist, he lowered his face closer to hers.
Freya felt a little uneasy as his lips approached hers.
“What does this man want to do? Does he want to kiss me?” she wondered.
Freya pretended to be naive and said as she contemplated being forced into a kiss last night and the possibility of being kissed by someone else now, “Freya is hungry. Freya wants to eat meat!”
Bradley’s lips slightly curled upon learning that she enjoyed eating meat.
He resolved to have the maid, Rosa, serve Freya meat with each meal.
But he suddenly felt the urge to tease her.
“If you want to eat meat, you have to kiss me,” he said.
