Chapter 65 She’s Like My Sister
Warren frowned and turned to look over.
Isabelle only just noticed that the woman had seemingly called her name affectionately just now. Isabelle stared into Amy’s eyes and realized that Amy was looking at her with a friendly smile, and the provocation and coquetry from the afternoon were gone.
Isabelle looked at Warren with suspicion, “Warren, what is your relationship with Ms. Watson? Why is she suddenly so friendly towards me?”
Amy looked at Warren, blinked and smiled.
Warren glanced at Amy and, after a barely noticeable pause, he introduced her to Isabelle, saying, “Amy is like a little sister to me!”
“Your sister?” Isabelle raised her eyebrows, looking inquisitive.
“Uh–huh,” Warren replied nonchalantly, “Otherwise, what did you think?”
Amy heard Warren’s cold introduction and her eyes hardened, her pale fingertips curling. Then, she smiled widely and said, “Isabelle, I’m sorry. Today, I played along with Warren’s act, but it was only to help him. I hope you don’t misunderstand anything. Please forgive me.”
Amy was a bit mischievous, and she looked harmless.
Isabelle’s almond eyes flickered, and she smiled apologetically, “Oh, so you’re one of us. Hello, Ms. Watson! Warren never mentioned you, so I don’t know you either.”

Amy’s eyes were deep, but she still had a smile on her face. “I’m just a small character, not worth mentioning. Warren has his heart set on you. He’s a perfect example of valuing love over friendship.”
“Nonsense,” Warren scolded with a frown, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes as he looked at Amy. He said lightly, “Amy, thank you for today.”
“It’s okay, I’m glad I could help both of you,” Amy said obediently. She added, “Isabelle, when you pushed me earlier, I was really worried about your baby. Are you okay?”
Isabelle saw Amy say this and immediately felt embarrassed, “I’m really sorry just now.”
Warren held Isabelle’s waist and carefully examined her, then said, “Just now, Amy was only concerned about protecting you and ended up falling to the ground. You even pulled her hair, looking fierce. How come your fighting ability is so strong?”
Isabelle felt embarrassed.
Amy smiled kindly. Warren knew that Amy was helping him and that she was protecting Isabelle’s belly because she cared about their child. Warren felt that Amy was understanding and genuinely innocent.
Warren thought how wonderful it all was.
Amy smiled, “Alright. My mission is accomplished. You two take care of each other!”
At this moment, the assistant outside the door suddenly knocked. “Mr. Levine, Ms. Christopher has come back from the hot spring and is experiencing some asthma. Please come and take a look!”
Isabelle was taken aback, “What? Tara is here too?”
Warren quickly took Isabelle’s hand. Sensing her gaze, he smirked and said, “I was at the hot springs with my mother this afternoon, and Amy didn’t even go in. Are you relieved now?”
Isabelle felt a little awkward, but she did feel a bit relieved in her
heart.
Isabelle followed Warren outside and discovered that Tara’s room was right next door. Isabelle thought that since Tara lived so close, it was certain that nothing could happen between Warren and Amy.
Isabelle entered the room and saw Tara leaning against the sofa, clutching her chest and breathing heavily. Tara’s face was pale, with beads of cold sweat on her forehead, and her lips were purple.
Isabelle immediately went over and touched Tara’s wrist. Isabelle determined that Tara was lacking oxygen, her heart was unable to pump properly, and on top of that, Tara’s life was already in danger.
Isabelle turned around to go back to her room to get her medical bag. However, as soon as she looked up, she saw Warren. She remembered that she had once kept hidden from Warren that she knew about traditional medicine.
Isabelle hesitated and paced for a while. Suddenly, Amy rushed in from the door, carrying a medicine box. “Make way, everyone.”
Warren’s furrowed brow relaxed as he let go of Isabelle and said, “Amy, come help me check on my mother.”
“Warren, I’m even more anxious than you,” Amy chuckled, swiftly crouching down to examine Tara’s eyes and lips. Then she took out the special tool, herbs, and immediately began treating Tara.
Isabelle noticed that Amy’s methods of treating Tara were all correct. Isabelle was surprised to find out that Amy also knew traditional medicine, and Amy’s medical skills were also very good.
With Amy’s emergency treatment, Tara’s breathing wasn’t as rapid. Afterwards, Tara slowly opened her eyes.
“Are you awake?” Amy held Tara’s hand and smiled gently. “It’s been a long time since I last visited you. After all these years of friendship, I should really call you godmother, even though you are still young and beautiful!”
Isabelle noticed that Tara looked at Amy for a while after she woke up, and then Tara smiled and said, “Oh, it’s Amy. How did you come
here?”
“I accompanied Warren on a business trip today, usually I am dedicated to my duties at the company.”
“Don’t ask so many questions, Amy is saving you,” Warren frowned slightly, reminding Tara.
Tara pouted and coquettishly approached Warren. However, Tara was not enthusiastic towards Amy, she just politely smiled and said, “Thank you, Amy.”
“This is what I should do!” Amy playfully reassured Tara, patting her hand.
Isabelle noticed that Tara discreetly moved her hand away.
Tara looked up and saw Isabelle. Tara immediately smiled and said, “Bella! Are you here too?”
“Yeah, Mom, didn’t Warren tell you?” Isabelle glanced at Warren.
Tara also glared at Warren and waved, “Bella, come over here. Did this little brat take you out for dinner?”
“Mom…” Isabelle walked over with a smile.
Tara pulled Isabelle to sit on the sofa and talked to her absentmindedly.
Amy, who had been squatting in front of the sofa all the time, squatted for a while, smiled, and stood up to tidy up her things.
Amy didn’t leave. She listened with a slight smile as Tara and Isabelle talked, occasionally interjecting a comment. Tara would also answer Amy’s questions, but immediately turn her head with a mischievous smile to talk to Isabelle.
Isabelle felt a bit subtle, “If Amy is Warren’s sister and Tara is her godmother, then Amy and Tara should be close. However, it seems like Tara prefers to talk to me and is somewhat distant towards Amy.”
Isabelle glanced at Amy out of the corner of her eye. Amy was beautiful, elegant, and skilled in medicine, and she was also the vice president of the company. Isabelle felt that Amy was not simple. Isabelle recalled what had happened before. In the afternoon, Amy acted like a lover, but in the evening, she became Warren’s sister, showing a warm and kind demeanor. However, Isabelle remembered how Amy had made things difficult for her when buying lingerie, and how she had instructed her to buy condoms. Isabelle felt that Amy was clearly acting at that time, but there was a hint of genuine shyness on her face.
“Tara, you should take care and rest in the evening, don’t talk so much,” Amy gently reminded.
“Okay, Amy,” Tara agreed.
“Warren, I am going to take a rest and join the dinner. I haven’t finished negotiating with Mr. Bass yet,” Amy said.
Warren felt a little sorry but also very grateful, “I’m sorry for the trouble today, Amy. Thanks to you, my mother suddenly fell ill just now.”
Amy patted the medicine box and smiled, “Don’t worry, I have excellent medical skills. Let me know if Tara has any situation, and I will come immediately!”
Warren had his assistant escort Amy to the door.
Outside the door, Amy tightly held the medicine box and could hear Tara and Isabelle laughing. Amy knew that Tara didn’t like her, and had never liked her.
Amy thought, “If it weren’t for Tara’s disagreement, Warren might have married me earlier, and there wouldn’t be Isabelle now.”
Amy would not let Warren find out that Tara didn’t like her, let alone let him know the reason why Tara didn’t like her!

Warren quickly called for professional medical care, and Tara’s condition stabilized.
Isabelle’s stomach grumbled uncontrollably, and she immediately hid and covered her stomach, afraid that Tara would hear.
Warren looked at Isabelle and smirked, saying, “Mother, shall I take Isabelle out for dinner?”
“Oh, hurry up and leave! Don’t bother me in front of me,” Tara deliberately said, hoping that the couple could develop feelings for each other.
Warren took Isabelle downstairs, but instead of going to eat, he led her into a private hot spring courtyard.
