Isabelle angrily opened her mouth and immediately took a few sips.
He smiled satisfactorily and asked, “Is it bad–tasting?”
“It’s awful,” Isabelle said deliberately. In fact, it wasn’t awful at all; his cooking skills were quite good.
The man raised an eyebrow. He lowered his head and said, “Well, then I’ll give it a try.”
He didn’t taste from the bowl but kissed her on the cheek.
“Hmm.” Before the words were even fully spoken, how could he kiss her again? Isabelle resisted, but it seemed like he hadn’t been close to her for a while. His breath became heavy. His kiss made Isabelle go weak in the knees. Isabelle tightly grabbed onto his shirt.
The man’s back was powerful. Isabelle blushed and dared not touch his back.
He adjusted his breath slightly, released Isabelle, and then held onto her slender waist, saying, “Now you can explain properly.”
What on earth is wrong with this man? He bullied her, so why did he let her explain?
Isabelle pushed him away and stood up, annoyed. “I have nothing to clarify. Other women help answer Mr. L’s personal calls. From this point of view, you are not a faithful man either. We have a marriage agreement, and I won’t interfere with your personal life. But if you are promiscuous, you can’t flirt with me, do you understand?”

After Isabelle finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room became extremely awkward.
The man walked over angrily and said, “Am I promiscuous?”
“Isn’t it?” Isabelle clarified further, “Eight days ago in the afternoon, I called you. A woman answered the phone, and she called you Warren.”
He frowned, reached out and took out his phone, and directly handed it to her, saying. “You see for yourself.”
Isabelle looked at him in surprise.
Men never dare to let women see their hidden secrets in their phones, but he had a disdainful and indifferent expression.

Isabelle looked through it and the record from eight days ago disappeared.
Isabelle laughed, “You deleted that record, Mr. L. Perhaps, it was that woman who deleted it.”
“No matter who deleted it,” he pushed Isabelle against the wall, sneering coldly, “if I really had another woman, do you think I would hide her? Who do you think you are? Besides, I don’t even have a house to hide women in.”
Isabelle was extremely disappointed and thought he was a scumbag!

Ah, Isabelle was hurt by his words. She coldly pushed him away, “Yeah, I was just a tool.”

“Don’t say sarcastic words, it’s you who has been rejecting me all along. If you want to become my woman, then you have to make an effort.” The man held up her small face, his face pressed against hers. His tone was firm yet gentle. He looked straight into her eyes, with a mischievous smile, and said. “Let me explain further, I’m not very interested in women. If I were to have any interest in women, it would only be temporary and solely for you. It’s all your fault! You got involved with me, so you have to take responsibility, understand?”
Isabelle was stunned and it took her a while to understand the meaning behind his words.
Her cheeks turned red. Was he saying that she was his first woman?
Isabelle’s ears turned red, and she trembled as she said, “Don’t tell me these things, I don’t understand! Don’t play innocent, what responsibility do I have? Clearly, you are the one benefiting…”
“If you wanted to make a profit, I would be willing to serve,” he smirked devilishly.
Isabelle understood his words again.
“After all that talking, you still showed no sincerity and didn’t explain the matter of that woman answering your phone,” she said with a cold
snort.
The man held her waist, with a look of pleasure in his eyes. “After all that talking, are you jealous? But you look quite amusing when you’re jealous. You started a fight with me just because of a phone call. What would you do if there were really other women in this house?”
Isabelle stubbornly denied, “I wasn’t jealous, go find other women ”
“Really?” He lowered his head, his breath spraying onto Isabelle’s neck.

Chapter 44 Attempt
Isabelle felt itchy, so she pushed him away and said, “Will you ever stop, Mr. L?”
“Not finished,” he said as he took her small hand and walked to the edge of the bed, opening the cabinet. Inside the cabinet were some medications. The man rolled up his trousers, and Isabelle noticed a rather sizable wound on his knee, causing her to furrow her brows in surprise. “Did you get hurt that night?”
He said coldly, “Wouldn’t I get hurt if it weren’t for you? You heartless woman, give me medicine quickly.”
Isabelle thought, “He kicked the table in frustration, the table is so hard, he will definitely get hurt!”
She obediently opened the lid of the medicine bottle, carefully changed his medicine, and wrapped it with gauze.
Isabelle’s hands were soft and slender, making her a skilled artist. Out of the blue, a man asked, “Has your step–sister stolen your artwork?”
Isabelle thought, “He finally knows, huh.” She looked up and said, “Could Mr. L help me?”
“Would I look like I could help you? Am I no longer angry?” he said coldly.
Isabelle pouted, she didn’t make up with him either, and he still didn’t explain the phone call and the woman.
She said gloomily, “Then I’ll go find Warren. After all, he holds the power, and he seems to be a little interested in me. If all else fails, I’ll seduce him.”
The man’s breath turned cold as he asked, “Are you sure Warren is interested in you?”

“Yeah, he was really handsome! Even though he had a dirty mind, it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try once,” Isabelle deliberately provoked him.
Someone pursed their thin lips and asked ominously, “How dare you try once?”
“Mr. L, you were so fickle. You should have understood this kind of thing the best. In our transactional relationship, you shouldn’t have controlled me either.”
“Dare you!” he said, embracing her with authority and a hint of playfulness. “Warren wouldn’t even look at you, a pregnant woman.”
“How do you know? Do you know Warren? L, can you help me improve our relationship?” Isabelle asked immediately.
The man stood up coldly, picked up his suit jacket, and said, “Shut up You’re tired tonight too, so just sleep here for now.”
Isabelle asked subconsciously, “Where are you going? Aren’t you going back home?”
“I didn’t have many women, did I? Just pick one randomly,” he said angrily.
Isabelle wanted to invite him home. She was worried about Tara and wanted to make some superficial efforts. But now it seems that she has made it clear, and he still doesn’t come home. Isabelle gets angry and says, “Then go find other women, it doesn’t matter to me anyway!”
The man laughed as he watched Isabelle, who clearly looked angry but pretended not to care. However, he didn’t try to appease her and instead turned around and closed the door.

She stood up with an embarrassed expression. Was it he who came back?
Isabelle opened the door and poked her head out. Outside the door, Marin smirked and said, “Isabelle, it’s me. Stop smashing pillows.”
Isabelle felt extremely embarrassed.
Marin took out a high–end paper bag. The food inside was fragrant and enticing. “You haven’t eaten enough tonight, have you? Have some more.”
