Chapter 271 Two Children Meet
Isabelle touched her son’s head and blinked as she cautioned, “Don’t let Glenda get into trouble, okay.”
Joyce pouted her lips.
Okay.
He had a cleanliness obsession and sat on the cushion, wiggling his little bottom. He used his pinky finger to pinch the saliva–covered teddy bear that Lillie handed to him.
“I left then.”
“You come back and pick me up earlier!” Joyce reluctantly sent her to
the door.
As soon as his mommy left and closed the door, he turned around and stared at this very old and dilapidated little house. He threw the teddy bear and put on airs with Glenda, saying, “You don’t need to bother about me. Take her out to play, I need some quiet.”
Glenda strongly suspected that the little boy had turned into an Alaskan Malamute. He was very attached to his owner and indifferent towards others.
She hadn’t spoken yet when Lillie, who had been thrown a toy, burst into tears, saying, “Mommy, he…dislikes me!”
Joyce was speechless.
He felt wronged, he just disliked anyone except his mommy.

Glenda’s mouth twitched as she picked up her daughter and quickly comforted her, “Don’t cry, Lillie. Shall I take you to the amusement park at the mall?”
“I wanted him to go too…”
Joyce was speechless.

Max came to the mall and took a few rounds, carefully selecting some sportswear styles that he usually wears.
He stuffed the shopping bag into the hands of the bodyguard, then he walked towards a dessert shop, looking cold and aloof like a young
master.
“I got tired from shopping. I’ll buy a dessert here. Just leave two bodyguards, and the rest of you put the things back in the car!”
The bodyguards were tired and well aware of Joyce’s personality, so they didn’t dare to disobey him. They thought to themselves that they had left two people to guard him, so hopefully nothing would go
wrong.
As most people left, Max ordered a dessert and pondered on how to shake off these two individuals to go find his mommy.
Suddenly, he saw a figure flash by on the small train outside the shop door.
That profile…
He focused his gaze, slightly surprised!
He grabbed the dessert and quickly stood up, rushing outside. “Oh, my clothes got dirty. It’s so cold, I need to go to the restroom and wash it

off.”
“Joyce, wait for me!” the bodyguard shouted.
“Why were you chasing after me? The bathroom is so close, could I possibly get lost?”
Max turned around and smeared the desktop with cream everywhere again, “I made a mess here, don’t you guys clean up?”
The two bodyguards were speechless. They looked at the store clerk who was walking towards them with a pale face, and were momentarily held back.
Max quickly chased after the small train.
He ran to the front of the train and deliberately showed his face.
Bored young master Joyce, who had never ridden such a childish little train before, looked around in all directions.
Suddenly, he saw a little child who looked exactly like him right in front of the train.
Joyce was stunned, staring with wide eyes. What was even more surprising was that the little child actually beckoned to him with a finger.
Immediately, he ran towards the bathroom.
What happened?
Was that little boy the ‘Max‘ in his mommy’s mouth?
Joyce flashed a look of surprise. He needed to figure out what was going on!

He quickly followed along the edge of the small train and quietly climbed down.
In front, Glenda was holding her daughter and watching the making of cotton candy.
Joyce quickly ran towards the bathroom. He felt his heart beating fast and had an inexplicable excitement, even his throat ran dry.
But he searched through all the cubicles in the bathroom and couldn’t find the little boy he had just seen.
His eyes dimmed slightly, and he muttered under his breath, “Strange, where did he hide…”
“Hey! Are you looking for me?” My shoulder was suddenly tapped.
Joyce suddenly turned her small body around.
Max, who was very sociable and outgoing, jumped out from behind a pile of brooms. He dusted himself off and stared in astonishment at the face in front of him, which looked just like his own!
Joyce also looked at the person in front of her in surprise, suspecting that he was looking at himself in the mirror.
Two little boys turned their heads to the left and touched their hair on the right.
After an awkward silence, Max couldn’t help but laugh, “You really look exactly like me. I’m sure we must be born from the same mother. What’s your name?”
Joyce was a bit aloof, but mostly nervous and awkwardly said, “You go first.”
“My name is Max, full name Max Spencer.”

“My name is Joyce, full name Joyce Levine.”
“Uh, I know! I saw your photos.”
“I have also seen your photos!” Joyce said defiantly, “On mommy’s phone.”
“You were indeed taken back by mommy!” Max rubbed his chin and chuckled knowingly.
“What about you?” Joyce furrowed her brow, also clever, and suddenly asked, “Were you perhaps captured by Dad and mistaken for me?”
“Bingo! Both of them mistook us!”
“But I heard mommy talking to a woman, weren’t you abroad?”
“I secretly returned to my home country. That woman is our aunt, Enya.”
Max enthusiastically introduced the relatives to Joyce. By the end, they all couldn’t help but laugh.
However, Max quickly snapped back to reality and touched his chin, saying, “So you mean to say that the bad dad and mommy, they mixed us up and didn’t even realize it…”
“Bad father?” Joyce frowned. Although she had a love–hate
relationship with Warren, she was still unwilling to hear others calling him bad.
“Wasn’t he bad? Otherwise, how could he have abandoned mommy and me?”
“Daddy never mentioned that I had a brother like you, maybe because he didn’t know.” Joyce attempted to defend Daddy.

Max also had doubts, “Mommy never mentioned you to me either. She thought she only had one son.”
“What’s going on?” Joyce reacted quickly. “Are you saying that mommy and daddy both had no idea about the existence of another son?”
“I think it’s like this! Have you asked mommy about living with bad dad?” Max asked.
“He said Amy was my mommy, but I didn’t believe him. He just said my biological mom had died,” Joyce said in frustration.
Max was speechless.
Joyce lowered her head and said, “I asked mommy about daddy yesterday, and she also said that daddy had passed away a long time ago.”
Max twitched his mouth and said, “It seems like there is some deep-
seated hatred between them.”
“But they have our two children, shouldn’t they reconcile?”
Joyce pondered, and he mainly disliked Amy. “I don’t want Amy to be my mommy. She always plays dirty tricks, while I am honest and straightforward, I can’t compete with her.”
Max grinned and patted his brother’s chest, “Don’t worry, I’ve been staying at your house these past two days, and I’ve already threatened her. You’ve been through a lot with her in the past, haven’t you? I’ve avenged you in my own little way!”
Joyce was taken aback, looking at Max’s cunning and lively big eyes and warm smile. No wonder mommy always said Max was a gentle boy.

Max was really talkative and enthusiastic.
Joyce was a bit envious. He had a gloomy personality, and he awkwardly said, “Well, thank you then.”
“We are brothers, what’s the point of being polite,” Max boasted shamelessly.
However, he returned to the previous topic and asked earnestly, “Joyce, do you want Daddy and Mommy to make up?”
“Well, I didn’t have a biological mother since I was little, and I was often sickly. I really wished to have a mommy’s embrace. You also didn’t ride on daddy’s shoulders, don’t you want to?”
Joyce tried to persuade his brother. Although Joyce was not very talkative, he made an effort to squeeze out words.
“But my aunt said that my bad dad did a lot of harm to mommy.”
Anyway, my heart was always towards mommy. As long as she was unhappy, I didn’t want this bad dad either. I would even help mommy and teach him a lesson!
Joyce was taken aback, Max is so decisive.
“I wanted daddy and mommy to reconcile, but you didn’t agree with them reconciling. So what should I do?” Joyce felt troubled.
