Chapter 221 Encountering A Bridal Shop
They were no longer possible. Warren was determined to get engaged and would soon marry Amy in the future.
And Isabelle, at the moment, had to act with David…
Isabelle was thinking when her phone rang again. Speak of the devil. Isabelle interrupted her thoughts and answered, “Mr. Lopez…”
“You’d better call me ‘David‘ today, huh?”
David’s warm voice had a hint of magnetism as he chuckled, “Are you at home? If you have some free time, tidy up a bit. I’ll send someone to pick you up and take you to the bridal shop. My mother has been calling me several times since early morning. I feel helpless.”
Isabelle remembered that he had mentioned about borrowing a wedding dress and Monica wanting to meet her.
Even if she doesn’t have time, she has to make time. Isabelle replied, “Okay, I just finished my work here.”
After hanging up the phone, she put on sunglasses and discreetly escorted Maggie to the car. Maggie hid the medicine deep inside her shopping bag and bid her farewell.
Isabelle waited by the roadside for a while. The car sent by David was very fast.
Isabelle walked into the entrance of Donsborough’s largest þridal shop. David’s tall figure stood there, waiting for her.
David took the small bag from her hand and gently wrapped his arms around her round waist. “The apartment is far from here. Did you have a tiring journey by car?”
Isabelle shook her head and looked at him with clear apricot eyes. “Where is your mother?”
“Monica was highly respected. Even though she woke up early in the morning wanting to see ‘her daughter–in–law,‘ she had to be patient and not arrive first. At the moment, she was still lingering and going around in circles on the road.”
He described it vividly, and Isabelle couldn’t help but laugh. She could imagine Monica being both antique and mischievous.
She was just like Tara, acting like a child whether she was happy or sad, often teasing Warren…
Isabelle stared blankly, her mood plummeted.
David looked at her small face, which was like ever–changing weather. He could almost guess what she was thinking. She was a woman full of stories, easily moved by her surroundings. Even a single glance from her was beautiful and captivating.
David had to admit that Isabelle didn’t do much. But she just made him more and more obsessed.
David’s Adam’s apple moved slightly as he took her hand and smiled, “While we wait for Monica, shall I take you for a walk? There’s more than just wedding dresses here. I’ve also found some interesting things.”
Isabelle wanted to withdraw her hand, but there was an assistant behind her and the wedding dress shop manager was also standing next to her. It wouldn’t be good to embarrass David too much.
She could only go along with his words, “What interesting thing?”
“Crib.”
He led her to the large floor–to–ceiling windows.
This bridal shop provided all–in–one services. Not only did they have American–style baby cribs, but also small pianos, beautiful and handsome baby clothes…
Isabelle was going to be a mother. She couldn’t take her eyes off these
and couldn’t help but laugh, “Mr. Lopez, how did you find such a complete bridal shop?”
David’s eyes flickered, and he said gently, “It was recommended by someone else. After all, this is the largest store here.”
“Come, let’s take a look at this bed,”
He pointed to the exquisite little bed next to him and joked, “It’s quite big, suitable for twins to sleep in. Why don’t you ask the baby if he likes it?”
“How could he have answered?”
Isabelle was speechless as she touched her round belly. Despite its size, her waist remained as slim as a young girl’s.
David looked at her waistline, his eyes filled with deep affection.
He walked over and gracefully squatted down, his face right in front of Isabelle’s belly. He asked earnestly, “Little baby, do you like blue or pink? You tell me, I’m listening.”
Isabelle twitched her mouth and sighed, “Mr. Lopez, please stop messing around.”
“Didn’t I say it on the phone? You’d better call me David today, so that my mother doesn’t get suspicious. Why don’t you practice it now?”
David raised his eyebrows.
His gaze was somewhat focused. Isabelle blushed awkwardly. She slightly avoided, feeling very uncomfortable. “I will call later.”
“Your mother is too shy. She wouldn’t even call me by my name. So, have you made your choice?”
David was not reluctant, but rather appeared to be listening attentively.
Isabelle doubted, but the result was that her stomach really moved a little.
David burst into laughter and pointed at her belly. “Alright, I got it. Blue. It’s a boy.”
Isabelle didn’t believe him, but his childishness couldn’t help but amuse her. Her cherry lips curved slightly, “Mr. Lopez, please get up quickly!”
“Yeah, it is. This posture somewhat resembles a proposal,” he joked.
The assistant next to her chuckled, and the manager of the bridal shop praised repeatedly, “This young lady is so lucky. Your boyfriend always wants to make you happy.”
Isabelle could only awkwardly avoid eye contact. As she glanced sideways, her whole body suddenly became extremely stiff
David followed Isabelle’s gaze and saw the figure of a stern and cold man standing in the distance at the VIP area.
David squinted his eyes, seemingly unsurprised. There was a hint of amusement in his eyes.

Warren’s entire face grew extremely cold, his pupils like icy pools, and a raging anger ignited within him.
He saw her and David walk in hand in hand, looking at the baby crib together. David crouched in front of her belly, affectionately talking to their child. Isabelle felt shy and awkward. They seemed to consider themselves as parents, buying things for their child together.
Warren’s hand was in his pocket, clenched into a fist, making a creaking sound.
At this moment, he didn’t want to admit it, but his heart still throbbed
with a faint ache.
His lips curled into a mocking smile, his gaze sharp as a sword. After Isabelle bumped into him, the blush on her face couldn’t be hidden in
time.
Not only did she not have a heart, she even made David the father of the child. They were so eager to be affectionate with each other.
Adulterous husband and lascivious wife, were they happy?
The entire room was suddenly enveloped in a cold chill.
The store manager trembled inexplicably. Amy was holding a diamond dress worth tens of millions and examining it. A smile appeared at the corner of her mouth, “Warren, do you think this suits me?”
She turned her head around after waiting for a long time without getting an answer.
Warren stared at Isabelle intently.
Amy was stunned. She had a long–standing grudge against David. However, her cold expression softened for a moment when she saw David squatting in front of a woman’s belly.

She linked her arm with Warren’s, leaning in close. “Warren, how come Ms. Spencer and Mr. Lopez are here too? They couldn’t have just coincidentally found out we were at this store and purposely came to show off their affection, right? We can’t let that slide. Do you think this outfit of mine looks nice?”
Warren looked away, crushed the cigarette butt, and casually smirked. “I don’t see how you can tell. Go put it on for me to see.”
Amy blushed and acted coy as Warren tried on the veil for her. “Warren, you’re so naughty. You’ve made me feel embarrassed.”
“Ms. Watson, please come this way.”
The wedding dress manager led the way attentively. Three or four shop assistants held the dresses and respectfully served behind Amy.
Isabelle saw this scene, and her previous stiffness dimmed slightly.
Self–deprecatingly, she had just been worried if he had seen her walking in hand in hand with David, and would misunderstand something.
At this moment, Isabelle woke up as if from a dream and felt a bit ridiculous. Isabelle still couldn’t get over it. So what if he misunderstood? Moreover, does he still care about these things?
He sat on the sofa patiently, waiting for Amy to try on the dress. He looked so handsome that it was mesmerizing.
He looked at her with a sharp gaze that made his heart ache.
They were now, each a person of their own. Only he and Amy were real…
“Bella, my mother has arrived,” David pulled her small hand to remind her.
