Liam asked casually. “Do you know how to take pictures?”
Owen replied after a brief pause,” Yeah”
Liam handed him his phone, “Help me take a nice picture of these clothes.”
Owen was puzzled but didn’t ask any questions. He took Liam’s phone, set up a simple lighting and composition, and snapped a photo. “Mr. Reed, is this okay?”
Liam checked the photo and nodded, “It’s fine.”
As Owen left the office, he was still puzzled. When did Mr. Reed become interested in photography?
Meanwhile, Nicolas, who was accompanying a beautiful woman for a photoshoot, felt his phone vibrate.
He swiped it and almost spat water on the screen
Liam had sent him a few pictures of new shirts, but that wasn’t important. It was the message he sent right after.
“Have anyone besides your mom bought you clothes in the almost thirty years you’ve been alive? Well, I have!”
Nicolas twitched at the corner of his mouth. What’s there to brag about!
It’s just a couple of crappy shirts, everyone wears them!
The more he thought about it, the more uncomfortable he felt. Over the years, he seemed to be enjoying life, surrounded by beautiful women, but none of them lasted long, let alone buying him shirts.
Those women probably didn’t even know his size. They cried when they broke up, but once they got the money, they turned their backs and leave him..
The more he thought about it, the more depressed he felt. Just then, the woman wrapped in a towel came out of the bathroom, saw him sitting on the sofa in a daze, and sat in his lap, drawing circles on his chest with her hand.
“Why haven’t you undressed?”
Nicolas pushed her hand away and tested her, “It’s my birthday tomorrow. Do you have any gifts for me?”
The girl hesitated for a moment, then smiled, “Of course, I’ve already prepared something for you.”
Nicolas felt relieved in his heart.
See? I have people giving me gifts too!
But on second thought, hmph, it wasn’t even his birthday tomorrow, he was just testing her, and she said she had a gift. Wasn’t it obvious that she didn’t even know his real birthday?
Nicolas felt gloomy but asked calmly, “What did you prepare?”
The girl pulled his hand and placed it on her chest, then gently opened her towel, her voice seductive, I’m giving myself to you.” Nicolas’ smile vanished instantly. He pushed the girl off his lap, stood up, and slowly buttoned his shirt, saying indifferently, “I have some work to do at the company, I’ll go first”
The girl frowned and said, “are you kidding me?”
Nicolas glanced at her, “Also, don’t call me again. Let’s end it here.”
The girl finally got angry, wrapped herself in the towel, and cursed angrily, “Nicolas, you bastard! You just want to sleep with me and then leave, are you even human?”
Nicolas sneered, “We both agreed to this, don’t make yourself sound like a victim,” He signed a check and stuffed it into her towel, “But I have a conscience considering this compensation.”
The girl’s face changed several times, but she eventually accepted the check, cursing Nicolas as she did, “You’re a jerk! A bastard! You’ll get your karma one day!”
Nicolas didn’t seem to care, shrugged his shoulders, and walked away.
